Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad.

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.

People try to deceive others, but the Inner-Knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows everything.

They commit transgressions, and then deny them, while they pretend to be in nirvana. || 1 ||

They believe that You are far away, but You are near at hand.

Looking around, this way and that, the greedy people come and go.  ||  Reflect  ||

As long as the doubts of the mind are not removed, liberation is not found.

Says Nanak: Saint, devotee, humble being, is one on whom the Divine bestows compassion.  ||2 || 5 || 36 ||

Guru Arjan Sahib in Rag Dhanasare | Guru Granth Sahib 680

Reflection:

Guru’s Voice is crystal clear:

Clever tricks, deceptions, saintly attire may dupe the world.

But know that, the One sees all.

You are merely hoodwinking yourself.

Look within.

Search within.

Correct this flaw.

Walk the Teachings.

Live in Hukam.

For

Freedom is not possible, until

Doubts of the mind are not removed.

When

The wall of falsehood breaks

True liberation materializes.

My ardas:

Grace me with Your Incessant Presence.

May my doubt dissipate.

No More Blue Stars

In recent years, diasporic Sikhs have been moving to consciously avoid using the terms Operation Blue Star or Holocaust and instead use terms like the Battle of Amritsar, genocide, or Ghallughara when speaking about June and November 1984.
