Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad.

Sabad is Infinite; we are very finite. This is our understanding at the moment, which was different yesterday and may evolve tomorrow, as we deepen our relationship with the Sabad. In this trans-creation, we have chosen to keep the repeating words in the Sabad same. We aspire to learn and retain the Divine attribute as used in the original Sabad and avoid terms like God or Lord.

My foolish heart is in the grip of pride.
By the Will of my Creator, Maya, like a witch, has swallowed my soul. || Reflect ||
More and more, one continually yearns for more;
but unless one is destined to receive, how can one obtain it?
One is entangled in wealth,bestowed by the Creator;
the unfortunate one attaches oneself to the fire of desires. || 1 ||
Listen, O mind, to the Teachings of the Holy Saints,
and all your transgressions shall be totally washed away.
One who is destined to receive from the Creator,
being Nanak, shall not be cast into the womb of reincarnation again. || 2 || 2 || 19 ||

Reflections

In today’s Hukam I feel Guru is asking me to cast aside my veil of illusion and seek the Truth. Your foolish mind is entangled in egotistical pride. This illusion has also been created by the Great Giver. However, you have fallen in love with the gifts and have forgotten the Giver. Reflect on what you are doing. You have attached yourself to the gifts; instead of attaching yourself to the Giver. This false illusion will devour and destroy you.

Guru’s Grace: A way to escape these fires of desire. Listen to the wisdom of the awakened beings. Follow the Teachings. Your transgressions will be obliterated. You will be led from darkness to light. Your cycle of reincarnation will end.

Path arduous
Chiseling hurts
Yet
I continue…
Guru Graces
Head bows.

No More Blue Stars

In recent years, diasporic Sikhs have been moving to consciously avoid using the terms Operation Blue Star or Holocaust and instead use terms like the Battle of Amritsar, genocide, or Ghallughara when speaking about June and November 1984.
