Guru Gobind Singh: Invincible Warrior Brave Victory

Join us this morning as we explore the life and legacy of the Sahibzade and Guru Gobind Singh Sahib as we aim to inspire young Sikhs to lead a Sabad and Guru-oriented lifestyle. In these youth workshops, Jasmine Kaur, educator & developer, will work with the young students on how they can draw inspiration and lessons from these role-models.

Sahibzade: Invincible Warrior Brave Victory (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
There is no doubt that in the Sikh Psyche the life of the Char Sahibzade is inspirational!! This workshop, for 5 to 10-year-olds, looks at the lives of these beloveds and delves into the "code" that they lived by. Children will partake in a discussion on the life of the 4 Sahibzade and explore the key values they practiced and think about ways that we can use those values them in our daily lives. Through presentation, discussion, and a hands-on activity, children will reflect on characteristics to create change.

Gobind Rai to Guru Gobind Singh: Leadership Extraordinaire (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
In this interactive workshop, for 11-year-olds and above, students will learn about the personality, achievements, and legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. Together we will explore Guru Sahib's life at different stages from childhood to adulthood and the leadership traits he inculcated. Students will be encouraged to look at traits they currently have and develop plans on honing traits that will help them make an impact in their lives beyond the present.
