Partnership Projects with Other Educators Our staff is involved in partnership projects with other educators at various institutions. A shared vision and a strong organization are the launching points for successful educational efforts.
Current Projects
The Jakara Movement The Jakara Movement and Sikh Research Institute are among various groups collaborating to present the first annual SIKHOLARS: Sikh Graduate Conference. The conference is set for February 20, 2010 at Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA) and seeks to bring together researchers in the community with activists. They are calling for a myriad of proposals dealing with Sikh-related issues by Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike. The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to November 30, 2009. The Nanakshahi Trust Promoting the maintenance and expansion of the Panjab Digital Library project which aims to “reveal the invisible heritage of Panjab” through preservation and digitization of records, documents and interviews. www.nanakshahi.org
Gyan Sewa Trust SikhRI is involved with the Trust on two projects mainly: the ’84 Survivors Education Project & Rural Talent Project. www.gyansewa.com

Gurmat Sangīt Darbār The Gurmat Sangīt Darbār is a tribute to the Gurū’s tradition. It is also an opportunity for young kīrtanīās from North America to share their skills and gift of gurbānī with the sangat. It provides a venue for the appreciators of Gurmat Sangīt to listen to, learn about, and propagate forth, this spiritual art form.
