Delivering Strategic Solutions
Complex key challenges exist in all communities. The Sikh community’s key
challenges in particular require thoughtful study and examination. SikhRI
is presently engaged in proactive research and analysis in order to present
relevant, long-term solutions, an effort grounded in the commitment to facilitate
solutions as part of the community-at-large. Strategic Solutions undertakes
projects with the mission of educating the next generation of Sikhs about their
proud history and heritage.

Currently the Sikh Research Institute is able to develop and sponsor one major
project a year. The project must address a challenge that affects the global
Sikh community, and during the selection process, each project proposal is
rigorously studied and researched for specific success criteria. All projects must
demonstrate the potential for impact prior to selection.

Projects taken on as part of Strategic Solutions are funded solely through
donations, and therefore, ultimately, sponsorship is determined by community
response in the form of volunteer support and funding. This ensures the
projects selected best reflect the Sikh community’s values and needs.

Sojhi
SikhRI offers a comprehensive Gurmat based curriculum called Sojhi. In the
Panjabi language ‘Sojhi’ means ‘insight’. The Curriculum is oriented around the
goal of developing insights to inspire a Gurū-centered life.

Gurmat and Panjabi schools across the globe are used as a means to impart
Sikh spirit, principles, values, and history to the youth. While volunteers at these
school do their best, is a gap between each school knowing what to teach and
taking it to the next level of engaging children and developing higher- order
thinking skills.

SikhRI offers a strategic solution to this key challenge.
