SikhRI is recruiting Research Intern.
This role will support SikhRI’s initiatives in developing unique, long-form content and disseminating surveys and feedback mechanisms for data collection.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and strong communicator, able to quickly grasp complex topics and approaches towards solving problems. The intern will be using widely available web tools to disseminate information, edit content and construct surveys. The intern must have a strong interest in academic approaches to the study of Sikhi and the Guru Granth Sahib. Fluency in Panjabi is an asset, but not required.
Aspiring Sikh researchers can gain valuable experience from internships that involve gathering and analyzing data, researching Sikh issues and trends, and writing reports on their findings. The internship is for 9 months, 15 hr/week, stipend awarded upon successful completion of quarterly goals, the supervisor will be the Senior Fellow.
Research and analyze Sikh issues
Conduct surveys and collect data
Analyze data using mathematical models and statistical techniques
Prepare reports, tables, and charts that present research results
Advise Sikh global population on Sikh concerns
Design policies or make recommendations for solving Sikh problems
Write articles for publication in journals and media sources
