Pacific NW Tour

Please join us if you are in the BC-area this week! We are holding our annual fundraising dinner on Saturday, "Which Candle to Light" with keynote speaker Harinder Singh. Your support is so vital to SikhRI in 2013, and this dinner is a wonderful way to come together as a community and enjoy dinner and discussion. You can watch Harinder Singh on OMNI TV discussing SikhRI's work in the community and the vital need for support of the organization's future plans.
There are also numerous interviews on TV and Radio that you can tune in for, a Sikh parenting dialogue, and Gurduara talks that we hope you will join us for.
Afterwards, SikhRI heads to the Seattle-area for a series of events, which we also invite you to come out for if you are interested.

UK Tour

Earlier this month SikhRI was in the London and Leicester-area of England for a series of presentations which sought through a variety of topics to forge contemporary political connections to Sikh history. More than 400 people attended the events, and SikhRI is deep gratitude to those who assisted in organization and facilitation of the tour.

DFW events

Over three days in September, Harinder Singh spoke at three venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. On 28 September he spoke on "Defiance in Sikh Tradition" at Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Richardson, TX. On 29 September he took on the topic "Sikhi & Modernity" at the Center for Spiritual Living in Dallas. You can listen to a recording of this talk on PunjabiRadioDallas. Liv

On 13 October Harinder Singh presented a Liv webinar: "Sikhi Through Poetry" which sought to illuminate Sikhi through the eyes of South Asian poets, both Sikhs and non-Sikhs. Selections from Muhhamad Iqbal, Allah Yar Khan Jogi, Shah Muhammad, Vir Singh, Puran Singh, and Afzal Ahsan Randhawa were included.
