On 14 July, Harinder Singh presented a Liv Webinar "Sexuality in Sikhi: Confronting the Taboos." The webinar, which 143 people registered for, sought to explore the Sikh stance while reconciling modern approaches to sexuality with traditional ideas. By examining ideas from doctrine, history and lifestyle, the presentation asked: How does Sikhi shape human behavior and what is its outlook on issues surrounding sex, pleasure, procreation, and sexual preferences? How does this outlook connect to our ideas about relationships, morality, spirituality, and society?
If you missed the opportunity to attend the webinar live, you can watch a recording of it on SikhRI's Vimeo Liv Webinar Channel.
Register for our next webinar, coming up on 11 August: Ik Chota First Sikh Book Journey: Producing Quality Sikh Educational Resources for Children. This panel discussion will feature authors and creators of tools used in classrooms and the home, to instill a sense of pride and understanding in the next generation of Sikhs.
