Parents Workshop

Parents and adult caregivers will explore exercises they can do with their child to bring Gurbani alive.

Nurturing a Sikh Child

Duration: 1.5 hours
In this workshop, parents and adult caregivers will explore exercises they can do with their child to bring Gurbani alive. A brief overview of cognitive developmental milestones helps parents see how to tailor activities to their children’s skills and curiosities at various ages. Using an elegant Sabad, parents will participate in a discussion on steps they can take to nurture Sikhi attributes and values for their child by making those principles part of the home routine. The workshop is intended to get parents inspired and ready to take action in their daily lives, and to show how nurturing learning outside of the setting of the Khalsa School or Sikh camp can be a simple and enjoyable part of parenting.
